My Grandson is due sooner, rather than later!

this is an audio post - click to play

Hi All,
It looks like James Carter may be born in the next week or so, rather than on June 20th! I'm so excited. Pray for a healthy delivery for all.

Hey, Blog with me you guys! It's no fun out here in cyberspace all alone.

Hugs,
katieb

James Carter...bring it on! Way to go, James!! That is great news Katie, I know it is selfish of me to want that baby born before the Refresh2006 Conference, but it sure would give you peace of mind to launch our Canada PTPM!

Just to let you know we already have 41 churches registered from all over, and including 3 US States. We are anticipating God to pour it on, and just think how many of those women will take PTPM into their churches and communities.

Thanks again Katie, for your obedience in waiting and listening to God's spirit. He obviously has positioned this ministry for "such a time as this!"

Much love
Cynthia from Canada!!

Dearest Katie: What a blessed time- your first grandson- waiting to come into the world to meet three very special people- Mom/Julie, Dad/Andy and a very special Grandmother/Katie. My prayer for your family is that this child will be born healthy and happy;that he will give his parents true joy and that he will learn wisdom, love and laughter from his very Godly Grandmother while she has a renewed child-like joy and contentment with life as she sees all things new through the eyes of this very special child. Blessings Katie
P.S. Have your daughter-in-law walk the nearest mall/shopping area and then you can postpone the Disney trip. Love you bunches, Susan from South Carolina

Katie,
Doesn't the gift of new life inspire new purpose? Just think of all the life that "birth canals" into this world, and brings new purpose to the people connected with that life?

It's an amazing pathway to purpose...always surround yourself with new life!

On the Pathway,
Nancy Lee from MN!

Hannah stated in I Samuel 1:25 "I prayed for this child, and God gave me what I asked for. And now I have dedicated him to God. He's dedicated to God for life."

Praying for James Carter and that he will be dedicated to God for his entire life.

What an awesome Grandmother you will be, Katie! I always tell my college students in children's lit that they should plan the first book they will read to their new baby and take it to the hospital so that books and reading will be a part of the child's life from the beginning. Although I am confident that you'll be a reader to your grandson I'm not curious about the first book you'll read but what's the first scripture you are going to share with him?

Katie,

My PTP sisters have already said it...what a blessing! Please not only let us know when James Carter arrives, but we would love to see a picture of the proud grandma and her first grandchild.

Heavenly Father, thank you for the precious gift of James Carter's life. You have blessed Katie with the honor of being James Carter's grandmother and welcoming him into the family. May James Carter always know that you are with him and be sensitive to your Spirit. As he learns to bond with his parents and granmother may he also learn to bond with you. May he always walk the path you have laid out before him, never turning to the right or the left. Father again we thank you for this precious new life and praise you, for you have fearfully and wonderfully made James Carter. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Hi Nana Katie!!!

I will be praying for sweet baby James and his 'on time' arrival as well as the health of his momma and nerves of his daddy and of course...the 'anticipation' by his new grammie of the little bundle of joy!

I am also praying for Refresh2006 and the lives of each of the women from all over that will be basking in the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Blessings beyond measure to you and yours from our Heavenly Father and Texas sized hugs from me!

Your friend,
Bette H.

Katie,

What a time of excitement and anticipation for you and your family!

As I read the posts on this blog I thought "this is a cyber baby shower with spiritual gifts"! My shower gift to you and your family is a blessing:

James Carter, by this name people will call you and by this name you will be blessed by God. May you wear this name in honor and in peace and in courage, that people will look upon your name and find it blessed. May your sweet life receive abundantly the blessings of health, love, knowledge, and wisdom.

Katie and family, may you be filled with the Holy Spirit as you raise and teach James Carter, by your example, your precepts, your love and affection. May you be surrounded by God’s goodness and be blessed with favor, purpose and fulfillment.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of childhood, whose innocence and laughter keep the world young, I rejoice and give thanks for Your gift of James Carter. May he give back richly to Your heritage that endures from generation to generation. Amen! Amen!

I am thrilled for you, Katie, and cannot wait to see some pictures of you with your new grandson!

A "blessing shower" is the latest trend in baby showers. About.com has a great article on this growing trend, just search on "The Mother Blessing Shower Alternative". Another resource for this wonderful new trend can be found at blessinggodsway.com.

Keep us posted, Katie! Pictures, pictures, pictures! =)

Peace be with you,

Janet

Just thinking of you with joy for the closeness to the Creation that comes to all that draw near to a newborn. Love from all of us!
